omg no, no one copied anyone. There are some very obvious parallels, but they’re all used in different context. Nolan has mentioned that he used Paprika as a source of inspiration, so it’s not something he’s tried to hide. And we have to keep in mind that he started writing inception in like, 2002, so everything that came after was sort of developing the basic idea tbh. He probably sought out things that related to what he was interested in, and then he found Paprika and was like DAMN THIS IS GOOD SHIT. Anyway, if you watch them you’ll understand that they’re both fab, and both very different.
